The 36th Annual Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference will be held at the Beaver Run Conference Center in Breckenridge, Colorado from Tuesday June 16th through Friday June 19th, 2009.
If you missed it, 2008 was a great year for the conference! The turnout was the best ever, due in part to our pre-conference day dedicated to the response to terrorist bombing events. We enjoyed continued support from a record number of vendors and sponsors, and the national and international keynote speakers and the rest of the faculty were fantastic. In addition, there were some fun evening events to round out a great time spent in beautiful Breckenridge.
The conference remains committed to general sessions for all participants; however, this year we continued to offer pre-hospital and hospital “breakout sessions” on day 2 of the conference. Evaluations clearly support the breakout sessions, so plan on this option again in 2009.
Conference evaluations also expressed a desire to be able to obtain handouts from all of the lectures - even those that we not able to get printed in the handout publication. All of the handouts are posted on the website from the 2008 conference - though you needed to be present to get the username and password to access this part of the site. Handouts will be distributed by CD in 2009, but we will continue to post them on this site as well.
Please see the Conference Overview for a more in-depth description of the conference.
Keep an eye on this web site for more information about the conference as it becomes available.
We hope to see you in Breckenridge next year for another high quality, low cost trauma care and emergency medicine curriculum. So please reserve space on your calendars for the 2009 Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference!
