 Conference Overview

The Rocky Mountain Trauma & Emergency Medicine Conference is designed to emphasize the latest techniques in trauma care and emergency medicine, as well as the team approach to care of the injured patient.  For this reason, many of the classes are held in a large general session style setting, where all conference participants can learn together. The conference provides an excellent educational opportunity for those whose expertise and interest lie in the area of trauma and emergency medicine: physicians, nurses, prehospital personnel, firefighters, search and rescue personnel, respiratory therapists and others.

The Director for the Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference is Ernest E. Moore, MD.  Dr. Moore is the Director of Trauma Surgery at Denver Health, is a well known expert in trauma and is editor of a premier trauma text.  Well known nationally and internationally on a variety of topics, Dr. Moore is one of the most published researchers in trauma in the world.  The Conference Co-Director is Christopher Colwell, MD.  Dr. Colwell is an Emergency Medicine attending physician at Denver Health, and is the Medical Director for the Denver Health Paramedic Division, and for the Denver Fire Department.  Nationally recognized as a speaker in EMS and emergency medicine, Dr. Colwell is also well published on a variety of topics.
