The 35th Annual Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference will be held at the Beaver Run Conference Center in Breckenridge, Colorado from Tuesday June 24th through Friday June 27th, 2008.
If you missed it, 2007 was a great year for the conference! The turnout was even better than 06, we enjoyed continued support from a record number of vendors and sponsors, and the national keynote speakers and the rest of the faculty were fantastic. In addition, there were some fun evening events to round out a great time spent in beautiful Breckenridge.
The two physician workshops - an ATLS Reverification, and an Emergency Ultrasound course - were very well attended. Look for more workshops in 2008. In addition, the construction that had been going on in 06 has been completed, and the new ballrooms and other ammenities only added to the success of the conference.
The conference remains committed to general sessions for all participants; however, this year we continued to offer pre-hospital and hospital “breakout sessions” on day 2 of the conference. Evaluations clearly support the breakout sessions, so plan on this option again in 2008.
Conference evaluations also expressed a desire to be able to obtain handouts from all of the lectures - even those who we not able to get printed in the handout publication. We experimented with posting the handouts on this website, and we will do that for all lectures in '08.
Please see the Conference Overview for a more in-depth description of the conference.
Keep an eye on this web site for more information about the conference as it becomes available.
We hope to see you in Breckenridge next year for another high quality, low cost trauma care and emergency medicine curriculum. So please reserve space on your calendars for the 2008 Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference!
