 1-Day Disaster Symposium Minimize

For 2008, there will be a 1-day symposium on Tuesday June 24, 2008 entitled “The Hospital Response to Terrorist Bombing Events: International Experiences and Lessons Learned”.  This special pre-conference seminar will feature experts from Israel, the United Kingdom as well as the United States discussing their participation in preparation and responses to terrorist events.

The general format for the symposium will be a morning and afternoon session, each having several 30-45 minute lectures followed by a panel discussion.  Trauma Surgeon Jeffry Kashuk, MD, and Christopher Colwell, MD, Associate Director of Emergency Medicine, both from Denver Health Medical Center, will be the program’s moderators.

            Medical Management of Disaster Situations: U.S. Military Experience
                     in Iraq

The cost for the terrorist bombing symposium will be $200 for the 1-day event, or $150 if added to the Rocky Mountain Trauma and Emergency Medicine Conference.  The Rocky Mountain Conference will follow the symposium, and will run from Wednesday June 25 through Friday June 27, 2008.
